Cross Back Apron
A neck strap on a ten-hour shift is a neck ache by hour four. This one puts the weight on your shoulders, where it belongs, and leaves your neck out of it.
The apron
- 12 oz cotton canvas, garment washed, hemmed at every edge
- Cross-back straps, adjustable both sides, nothing at the neck
- Split skirt, so you can take a full stride without the apron voting on it
- Chest pocket sized for a thermometer and a pen, patch pocket at the hip
- Riveted towel loop on the right. Lefties, write to Pina. She'll pretend to mind.
Cut long, 34 inches from the shoulder, and easy to shorten at the straps. I wear mine over a hoodie in January, which is who it was cut for.
Bea
One size. 34 inches long, 27 inches wide at the skirt. Straps adjust from 40 to 62 inches total. Read the numbers before you write to me.
Machine wash warm, tumble dry low. The canvas softens for ten washes and then stops. Coffee comes out. Milk needs a cold soak first or it sets, and that is not my problem.
No neck strap means nobody complains by noon. The canvas softens after a couple of washes.

I use it for cooking at home. Sturdy canvas, straps cross comfortably. Pockets could be a bit deeper.
